A&A Crochet is a pair of friends who enjoy spending time together and who enjoy, uh, crocheting. What started as a simple hobby evolved into something more. Both women discovered they not only loved crocheting together, but that they could make reusable items instead of buying them. Think of this classic crochet item: the circular dishcloth your mother would use to wipe down counters and the sink when you were a child. This item can be reused over and over again instead of using paper towels every day. That's just the beginning of the reusable items you can make. Homemade Swiffer pads, soap bags, face rounds, and market bags are just a few of the items that the two have made to replace the throw items you might purchase at the store. That's not the only reason for crochet though.

Amber "The Artist" Brooks was taught how to crochet at a young age by her grandmother. She has always enjoyed creating beautiful things. Crochet allows her to create both beautiful and functional pieces of art. One of the reasons Amber loves crocheting is that is allows her to be more self sufficient. Want a new hat for winter? She can just make one! Not only does this save her money, it helps build her confidence. She knows she has these skills and can rely on them. Some of her favorite projects to make include hats, gloves, coasters, mug hugs, and other cozy items.

Alexandria "The Author" Nelson was taught by Amber in February of 2019. Having less than two years of experience under her belt, she learned the basics and then hit the ground running. She loves having a non-electronic hobby that helps keep her from mindlessly scrolling through social media. Not only that, but she can crochet and listen to Audiobooks (another of her favorite past times). Hours will fly by before she realizes it. Plus, she has 7 loving cats who frequently try to help her out. Creating afghans, amigurumis (small crochet creatures), scarves, mittens, and other warm, fuzzy projects are her go-to items.

At the end of the day, they both love what they do. So they decided they wanted to spread the love.
